Crop Killa is a performance that references the transition from Jamaica's once self-sufficient agriculture to its economic decline, partially due to loans by IMF and the World Bank in the mid 1970s. Using the bountiful past as a point of departure, the performance shows a trajectory to the present day Jamaica and is influenced by the recent dwindling turnout of West Kingston's Tivoli Gardens' dancehall culture party 'Passa Passa' with the use of sounds and a transformation of the performer's character.
